HISTORY BETTER THAN FICTION

IAN FLEMMING

GEORGE WASHINGTON

ONCE UPON A TIME…

Sometimes the best stories aren’t fantasy or fiction, but are instead real events that feel surreal or unbelievable. HISTORY is the network that brings those stories to the life through their shows and series. Not all great historic stories are epic tales though. Sometimes a small story lives in the shadows of a larger narrative and HISTORY asked us to shed light on a few of them in a series titled, “BETTER THAN FICTION.”  In these first two segments we learn about George Washington’s death, his fear of being buried alive and the man who claimed he could bring him back from the dead. We also, learn about how before the bay of pigs invasion, Kennedy questioned James Bond creator, Ian Flemming, about some possible was to overthrow the Castro regime that involved shaving.
