History Beyond Oak Island
Where do we start?!
Unsolved treasure mysteries, holographic particle simulations and pirates?! This project checked all the boxes of our childhood fantasies and immediately made us feel like Goonies from the future, future Goonies. Back in reality, we we’re tasked with creating a kickass promo for the new History show Beyond Oak Island. The spot features the Lagina brothers ready to expand there efforts of unfound treasures beyond the cursed Oak Island. We set sail with concept art, look development, storyboards and animation tests prior to our live action shoot.

In parallel with our concept artwork we began to nail down the details through the use of storyboards and pre-vis. We wanted to be sure of every last detail to be as efficient as possible while on set with Lagina brothers.
Step by Step
With concept art, pre-vis and look development and now footage in hand we began the process of bringing it all together. We continued to refine beyond the look development as we marched forward.

The Finish
Line
With each world built we had one last task at hand. Creating slick transitions from world to world as well as the activation and de-activation of our simulations. We did several iterations of tests before landing on the final look.
