“More puppet tool than you can shake a stick at”

Following on the heels of our 2012 internal project, “Dance Machine,” we participated again in the Promax BDA session “Videophonic” where we were tasked to take a pre-MTV song and make a proper music video for it. For this project, we decided to go an entirely animated route and chose Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Looking Out My Back Door”.

Using A mixed bag of Disciplines

including 2d animation, 3d animation and cell animation, we created a narrative that was loosely based on the classic tale of Rip Van Winkle. In this story a man falls asleep for years and wakes up to find that he is old and the world around him as changed completely.
