If Sixteen Candles took place in 2169,

“Cypress Valley High” is a short film created in collaboration with renowned cardboard artist Kiel Johnson and the Cypress Valley Community College. The narrative was woven into a music video as part of the Videophonic showcase, which premiered at the 2012 PromaxBDA Conference. All Videophonic music videos could only feature songs from the pre-MTV era. Set to Jackson 5′s “Dance Machine,” this live-action video featured a cast of cardboard robots as they embark on a robot right of passage: prom a la ’80s flicks “16 Candles” and “The Breakfast Club”.
