Cinemark It's Showtime

Every time I go to a movie, it’s magic.

-Steven Spielberg

It's Showtime!

What does it really take to craft a top-tier movie experienceNot just a massive screen. Not just thunder in your chest. But the ritual. The build. The charge in the air before the first frame ignites. With Why Cinemark, we set out to capture the full voltage of theatrical moviegoing — the obsession behind the curtain and the energy exploding in front of it. And we backed it with an anthem that refuses to age: “Don’t You (Forget About Me).”

Because some experiences stick. And the big screen is one of them.

Different Worlds. One Pulse.

Movie night hits differently depending on who you are. Families come for wonder. Gen-Z turns it into a full-blown event. Couples show up for escape. Cinephiles treat the theater like sacred ground.

Different motivations. Different energy. Same destination.

And none of it works without the people behind it — the crews, the technicians, the teams obsessing over projection, sound, timing, flow. The ones who make the magic feel effortless.

Capturing that meant thinking beyond a single perspective.

THE CRAFT

To capture that convergence — families, chaos, intimacy, obsession — we needed a cinematic language big enough to hold it. Because movie night isn’t one emotion. It’s scale and detail. Noise and silence. Energy and focus. So we shot it like that.

Anamorphic glass. Probe lenses. Snorri cams. Dolly zooms. Match cuts. Shifting formats.

The technique wasn’t style. It was intent. Wide when it had to be. Intimate when it mattered. Electric at first — then locked in.

THE STORY CONTINUES

The hero film lit the fuse. Then we went deeper.

We carved out additional pieces focused on Cinemark’s core pillars — Service, Indulgence, and Tech — each one its own short film, its own tone, its own swagger. Not explainer spots. Not bullet points.

Because when every element is dialed — from the welcome to the last frame — that’s what separates ordinary from elite. And when the lights go down, you can feel the difference.

That’s Cinemark.

Another great collaboration with Team Cinemark.

Together, we set out to capture the full moviegoing experience — the audiences who show up for it and the teams who make it possible. From a cinematic hero film to a broader body of work that spotlighted the brand’s core strengths, we built a campaign that reflects the scale, precision, and energy behind every night at the movies.

At Roger, we believe craft and storytelling are inseparable. This project was about honoring the theatrical experience at every level — and raising the bar in the process.

Here’s to the next one.
