It’s movie magic when you throw the Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Roger on the big screen. After scoring high with the 2017 release of Jumanji: Welcome To the Jungle, Sony Pictures and Director Jake Kasdan awarded Roger an extra life to design and execute the Main on End title sequence for the highly anticipated holiday release of Jumanji: The Next Level.
Extra Lives
We love where we ended up with titles, but also had a blast coming up with a handful of different avenues of exploration. Here are some of the concept frames that didn’t make it out alive.
Lights, Camera & Action
Ultimately the filmmakers selected our table top map direction and the race to deliver a completed spot had begun. The sequence would feature props themed to each credit. Roger worked with the film’s director and lead editor to select the perfect pairing for each name. Some of these props used all three lives and didn’t make the final cut.

An Adventure Of It’s Own
Once the props and number of cards were locked, we began to choreograph the camera movement over the map for the entire two minute sequence. It basically broke down to the map below. Makes perfect sense right?
